Jerry Mouton has been a resident of Deer Park since 1985, where he currently lives with his wife Tammie Plant Mouton, a lifelong resident. Together they have three children. His son Corey is married to Chloe and is a graduate of Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. His daughter Courtney is married to Jose Montemayor and their family includes Jerry and Tammie’s grandsons, Miralem and Josiah. His daughter Natalie is married to Lawrence Fuentes and is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree (BSN).
As you can see, education is highly important to Jerry. Like his son Corey, he is a graduate of Western Governors University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business-Marketing Management. Jerry also successfully completed his Masters degree in Business Administration (MBA) with Honors (Sigma Alpha Pi) through LSU Shreveport. Jerry is a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, as well as the National Honorary and Professional Management Society (Sigma Iota Epsilon).
Like many others in Deer Park, Jerry and his wife are small business owners. He took over his family business, Texas Lawn and Sprinklers Co., in 1997. The company regularly keeps a staff of 25 skilled professionals for all of your irrigation and landscaping needs. They pride themselves on providing “Professional Service with a Personal Touch” for clientele throughout the Houston region.
Jerry has taken his education and life experiences and invested that time and knowledge back into his community. He was elected to Deer Park City Council, Position 1, in 2011 and successfully ran for Mayor of Deer Park in 2013, where he still currently serves. Prior to that, he served as a member of the City of Deer Park Golf Course Committee. Jerry also currently serves as the Chair of the Deer Park Beautification Committee and has been actively involved with the following organizations:
